There’s a new(ish) name in the UK mobile phone market, but the name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Chinese firm Huawei (/ˈhwɑːˌweɪ/) has seen revenue increase 70% to over £13 billion in 2015, mainly from sales of their high quality, low price smartphones. In China Huawei are now said to be the biggest smartphone manufacturer, ahead of both Apple and Samsung, selling 108 million units last year alone.

Their 'P' series of phones rival iPhone and Galaxy S7 in terms of specs, with the most recent offering, the P9, available to buy from an impressive £419. To challenge the old guard Huawei have collaborated with photography firm Leica to produce a well-above average dual lens mobile camera on the P9 and P9 Plus models.

Huawei are sure to keep growing, and have stated that they want to keep investing and increase their product strategy.
