Quality braided cable, so much better than flimsy plasticky ones - should last a long time, Very pleased with item and quick turnaround much appreciated.
The trouble is with the packaged lighting cable that comes with your iDevice is that although the design looks impeccable and in keeping with Apple's all-white design, they're not built to last. Six months later you're left with a cracked cable connection that worries the health and safety conscious in all of us! 32nd's cable is MFi certified (Made for iPod, iPad, iPhone etc) by Apple (I even looked up the claim on the Apple website!) and I'd even say does a better job at a lower price, plus you can coordinate the colours with your iPhone. The nylon woven cable might make it feel like an ironing cord, but it feels a lot more durable and won't crack and peel if bent too much. The cable connections are even cased in a hardened casing, and the 'neck' where the cable and connection meet have reinforced pipe to prevent splits and frays - the most common problem with iPhone cables!
As someone who has owned several iPhone's, i've never been impressed with the quality of charger that Apple provides with their phones; the cable that Apple provides is prone to wear and tear (quite literally) which often leaves the inner wires exposed. This cable has clearly been produced to address the widespread issues with the official Apple cable. This 32nd branded cable is built to last; upon first sight, the braided nylon gives the impression of quality. When holding the cable, the materials do indeed mean that this is a durable, higher quality lead than the original. This product feels like it's meant to last and looks both pretty and premium with its gold coloured braided nylon texture. There has been efforts made so that the cable will not fray like the Apple cables do. Strong plastic seals each end of the cable so you should not experience exposed wiring. It's ever so slightly shorter than Apple's official cable, but transfer speeds seem to be very similar to the original, but that's probably due to the fact that this cable is MFI certified. The MFI program means that manufacturers can get access to Apple's specifications which ultimately means that the quality of cables can (and in this case, are) better than the original, whilst consumers can get an Apple-certified product without paying the inflated Apple prices. Overall, this cable is a very affordable price and really is built to last. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product if you're looking for a replacement cable for your iPhone - this one is the real deal. Did I mention it looks fantastic?
